Question by Insallah: Since Jesus was so against divorce why dont christians make it harder to do ?
Jesus said no divorce except in fornication, but since marriage is free fornication we know that’s not why they get divorced.

So if Jesus was against divorce, why don’t Christians try to outlaw it or make it illegal for the woman to remarry?

Actually, Catholics do maintain that scripture does not allow for remarriage after divorce.

However, we live in a time when the greatest genocide in human history is applauded by our “leader” as “choice.” Therefore, I don’t see a law against remarriage coming up in the near future.

Because God’s Kingdom is not part of this world, so anyone trying to pass Christian laws in a human government are trying to replace God’s Authority with man’s.
